CONCENTRAÇÃO E AGLOMERADOS DE RISCO PARA CÂNCER DE PULMÃO EM UM ESTADO DA AMAZÔNIA BRASILEIRA
Objective: To characterize the concentration and risk clusters for new cases of lung cancer in the state of Pará between 2017 and 2021. Method: This is an ecological study using secondary data, Kernel density estimation and scan statistics. Results: 700 new cases of lung cancer were identified, which showed a higher concentration and risk in some municipalities in the mesoregions: Baixo Amazonas, Marajó, Metropolitana de Belém, Nordeste and Sudeste Paraense. Conclusion: the study revealed clusters that require priority in health actions and the control of environmental exposure, with a view to reducing new cases.
