Analysis of folk language in Nazrul's novel "Mrityukhuddha"
The novel Mrityukhudha is Kazi Nazrul Islam's one of best literary works. In the novel, written against the backdrop of Krishnanagar, a city in the West Bengal province of colonial India, the author consciously expresses his own literary and political views and positions. In addition to the intense desire for liberation of the masses of subjugated India, he also authentically highlights the socio-cultural characteristics of the marginalized population within the civil sphere here. Although the novel is written in a narrative style in light of contemporary life realities, its artistic quality and human appeal are undoubtedly outstanding. Although researchers and critics have given due importance to the content in their evaluation, the task of exploring its relevance in folk cultural standards has not been done with due significance. That is why the present article attempts to study it based on folk language. We expect that this will further expand the opportunities for understanding the literary qualities of the folk language used by the marginalized communities of Krishnanagar. The present article analyzes the use of folk language in Nazrul's novel Mrityukhudha in the light of the interrelationship between sociolinguistics and folk language
