Progressive Destruction Analysis On Shared Memory SMP And NUMA Computers

The method of non-linear dynamic analysis of the progressive collapse of buildings and structures is proposed, taking into account the geometric nonlinearity and plastic and/or brittle properties of the material when using the plastic flow theory and elements of the damage mechanics. The novelty of the approach consists in the original way of removing the finite elements from the design model under the specified scenario that does not require any preliminary information about their stress state, which allows both the spatial frame finite elements and the shell ones equally easy to remove, simulating the destruction of the load-bearing walls as well as the staircase-elevator blocks. In addition, the article presents algorithms of multithreaded parallelization of the Cauchy problem, solved numerically by the explicit method focused on NUMA computers.
