An Integrated Study of Synergistic Development Between Low-Altitude Economy and Modern Drone Logistics
With the formal inclusion of a low-altitude economy in Chinas national strategic emerging industries, UAV logistics has emerged as a transformative solution to overcome traditional land transportation limitations in delivery speed, operational costs, and geographic accessibility. This study, based on policy and literature analysis, systematically examines the current status, existing problems, and future directions of the coordinated development of the low-altitude economy and UAV logistics. At present, research on low-altitude logistics mainly focuses on technologies for large-scale application: innovative breakthroughs in eVTOL technology have brought new momentum to logistics development, and the integration of the low-altitude economy into logistics has effectively enhanced supply chain resilience. However, the coordinated development of the low-altitude economy and UAV logistics still faces multiple challenges: an incomplete regulatory framework, limited UAV battery endurance, inadequate navigation and obstacle avoidance technologies, underdeveloped infrastructure, and an immature market ecosystemall of which require urgent attention. This study highlights four key areas that need to be addressed to achieve deeper integration between the low-altitude economy and UAV logistics: first, improving airspace regulations and establishing a unified standards system; second, accelerating research and development of core technologies; third, speeding up infrastructure construction; and fourth, promoting innovation in commercial models. Focusing on the synergy between low-altitude economic ecosystem development and technological iteration and balancing safety, efficiency, and market demand, this study aims to provide sustained momentum for the cultivation of new quality productive forces.
