The Synergy of AI and VR for Personalized Learning

In the digital age, traditional education methods are increasingly insufficient in meeting diverse learning needs. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR) presents a paradigm-shifting potential to personalize and enhance the educational experience. This paper investigates how AI-enhanced VR can overcome the limitations of conventional VRparticularly its non-adaptive, standardized delivery modeby adapting learning content in real time based on individual student performance and engagement. Through a synthesis of recent studies, case analyses, and theoretical frameworks, the research explores how AI algorithms adjust the complexity of VR simulations, provide immediate feedback, and create interactive learning environments tailored to learners progress. It also addresses key challenges, notably data privacy, algorithmic bias, and equitable access to technology. The findings indicate that AI and VR, when effectively combined, not only deepen student engagement but also improve comprehension and knowledge retention. This study indicates that AI-enhanced VR possesses considerable potential to transform education by rendering learning more immersive, adaptive, and inclusive across many contexts and disciplines. Future research will expand empirical investigation through real-world case studies and user-centered experiments, while also exploring applications beyond higher education, such as K12 and adult learning, to validate and broaden the current theoretical framework.
