Joint-statement supporting adequate undergraduate training in occupational medicine in medical schools
Occupational medicine (OM) remains significantly undervalued in undergraduate medical education across Europe. Future doctors lack the essential skills to face work-related health issues in an evolving working landscape. This editorial urges academic, professional and political stakeholder to develop a competency-based OM training. Without a concerted reform, we confront a growing skills gap that jeopardizes not only public health but also our labour systems’ ability to withstand future crises.
