Educational value of surgical videos on YouTube – quality assessment of and set of standards for hysterectomy using vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery videos
The majority of vNOTES hysterectomy videos (53.8%) on YouTube lack comprehensive educational content, with only a small fraction deemed appropriate for surgical training. The interest rates of the viewers may not be correlated with the usefulness rates of the videos. Surgeons and organizations should focus on producing high-quality, peer-reviewed instructional videos to improve the educational value of YouTube as a resource.
