Visualization of Shock Wave Phenomena Induced by Supersonic Projectiles Using Dye-Painted Anodized-Aluminum Pressure-Sensitive Paint
In this study, we applied a newly developed pressure-sensitive paint, Dye-Painted Anodized-Aluminum Pressure-Sensitive Paint (DP-AA-PSP), to ballistic range experiments and evaluated its applicability. By using DP-AA-PSP, we successfully conducted clear visualization measurements of projectile-induced shock waves under atmospheric pressure conditions, thereby demonstrating the effectiveness of DP-AA-PSP for use in ballistic range testing.
