Supersonic Rocket Sled Testing at Hurricane Mesa Test Facility
The Hurricane Mesa Test Facility (HMTF) is owned and operated by Collins Aerospace, an RTX Business. It is home to a 12,000-foot supersonic rocket track perched on a private mesa in southwest Utah. It is primarily used to perform high speed ground testing of ejection seats for new and existing airframes. HMTF uses state of the art test methods and equipment to capture results in high-stake rocket sled tests since the 1950’s.
