COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF FALLING PRICES FOR CARS OF DIFFERENT BRANDS AS THEY AGE
The article presents a comparative analysis of price depreciation dynamics for used premium cars depending on their age, mileage, and technical specifications. Based on data from online platforms (2023–2025), two econometric models were developed: a basic one (using dummy variables for brand affiliation) and an extended one incorporating additional parameters. The results reveal significant differences in depreciation rates: models emphasizing performance lose value faster, while vehicles with practical advantages (off-road capability, reliability) show more stable pricing. The study highlights that residual value retention in the secondary market depends more on the long-term relevance of functional attributes than on brand prestige.
