Efficiency of gas turbine vessel power plant of a vessel for recycling plastic waste into diesel fuel and electricity
The problem of pollution of seas and oceans with polymer waste is getting worse every year.Systems have been created to extract plastic from the water column. One of the promising areas for recycling the resulting plastic waste is its processing into artificial liquid fuel on board a high-tech specialized vessel. The gas turbine power plant of such a high-tech specialized vessel consists of technological and energy subsystems. The influence of ambient temperature and pressure loss at the inlet and outlet was taken into account by processing the indicators of the basic gas turbine engines. It is shown that in relation to the power plant of a high-tech specialized vessel using waste thermoplastic polymers as an alternative fuel, there is an optimal value of inlet temperatures. The maximum efficiency value is achieved in the range of out-side air temperatures 300K ... 305K, and the maximum powerat 270K ... 290K.
