TAP: Timely Aid Provider
This paper presents the design and development of a mobile application and smart band system aimed at enhancing emergency response. The key features of the smart band include tap and hold SOS, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integration, motion sensor, heart rate and oxygen rate monitoring, and a loud alarm. The mobile application complements the smart band by providing a real-time health data dashboard, emergency alert activation, location tracking, and a nearby responder tracker feature. A user study was conducted with 10 participants, including student nurses, cyclists, elderly individuals, and those with chronic health conditions. The results from the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) indicate that participants found the system to be visually appealing, easy to use, and efficient, with moderate levels of engagement and innovation. The findings provide valuable insights for future iterations of the app and smart band system to enhance the overall user experience and emergency response capabilities
