Transforming Organizational Performance Management: A Lean Six Sigma Approach using Monday.com for E-Business and E-Management
This study explores the inefficiencies of manual performance monitoring processes at MRAS Corporation, where delays in accessing key performance insights, increased workloads, and prolonged review cycles hinder operational efficiency. The reliance on Excel-based tracking methods leads to errors, inefficiencies, and missed optimization opportunities, slowing response times and creating performance monitoring gaps. Despite advancements in digital workflow solutions, traditional monitoring methods persist, leading to excessive time consumption and resource waste. To address these challenges, the researcher implements an automated performance monitoring system using Monday.com, aiming to streamline workflows, reduce manual interventions, and improve decision-making efficiency. The study follows the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC framework, utilizing SIPOC for stakeholder analysis, Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to assess review cycle times, and a Fishbone Diagram to diagnose inefficiencies. Analysis reveals that the current Excel-based monitoring process requires 27 days, significantly delaying critical decisions, whereas transitioning to Monday.com reduces the review cycle to just 6 days, achieving an 88.9% productivity improvement. The financial analysis demonstrates an estimated annual labor cost saving of ₱24,000 per employee. While the automation incurs an annual subscription cost of ₱820,800, the overall benefits in efficiency, timely decision-making, and enhanced resource utilization justify the investment. This study highlights how digital transformation can optimize workflows, reduce operational costs, and enhance continuous improvement. By automating performance monitoring, MRAS Corporation can enhance agility, improve strategic decision-making, and create a more responsive and data-driven work environment.
