Modelling and Performance Analysis of DFIG Integrated with LMF-PLL under Grid Abnormalities
Recently wind’s energy has increased access in the electric grid that makes it vital to develop and test adequate acceptable electromechanical the wind turbine generator (WTG) models for analysing the effects of wind integration on the transient stability of the power system. A Doubly-Fed Induction Generator DFIG (asynchronous wound rotor turbine) integrated with Least Mean Fourth Phase Locked Loop (LMF-PLL) model is discussed in this paper. The modelling and the analysing of LMF-PLL integrated DFIG is carried out while considering different grid abnormalities like voltage dip (30%), phase angle jump (20°), frequency change (+3Hz), dc offset (10%) with polluted environment. Moreover, the performance of the integrated system is studied to observe its behaviour under varying rotational speed. The simulation performance of DFIG system integrated with the LMF-PLL under grid abnormalities is performed in Matlab/Simulink environment.
