TechQUEST: A Development Of 3D Gamified Learning Materials in the IT Era Course For National University Manila Philippines
The integration of gamification into educational settings has proven effective in enhancing student motivation and engagement. This paper introduces TechQUEST, a 3D educational game developed for students enrolled in the "Living in the IT Era" course at National University-Manila Philippines. The game addresses nine key IT topics through five interactive levels, utilizing immersive environments and interactive scenarios to reinforce understanding. By incorporating game mechanics such as drag and drop, narrative-driven challenges, and problem-solving elements, TechQUEST transforms conventional instructional techniques into an engaging and interactive learning experience. The game’s character, Eli, which will be the player guides players through IT-related challenges, encouraging critical thinking and decision-making skills. TechQUEST not only promotes active participation but also prepares students for real-world digital challenges by making complex IT concepts more accessible and relatable.
