PARA: Passenger Accessibility Route Application

Commuting is an essential aspect of daily life for many Filipinos, yet the public transportation system in the Philippines faces numerous challenges, leading to significant stress and dissatisfaction among commuters. This study presents the development and evaluation of PARA, a mobile application designed to enhance the commuting experience by offering real-time updates, route planning, and a community feedback platform. The research methodology involved the use of the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) to evaluate the application's performance, with data collected from users to assess key aspects such as attractiveness, perspicuity, efficiency, dependability, stimulation, and novelty. The findings indicate that the PARA application received positive feedback in terms of attractiveness, efficiency, and reliability, with mean scores reflecting high levels of user satisfaction. However, the evaluation also revealed variability in perspicuity, stimulation, and novelty, indicating areas that require further improvement. The study concludes that PARA has significant potential to alleviate commuter stress, improve time management, and enhance overall satisfaction with public transportation services in the Philippines. Recommendations include the broader implementation of the application, with a particular focus on enhancing its clarity, engagement, and innovative features to further improve the user experience.
