Extraction of MPP using Boost & SEPIC Converter using Parametric Estimation Method

The maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is a key concept to extract the maximum power from a PV Module or array. The extracted power is further converted into $A C$ using DC-AC Convert, or into DC using DC-DC Converters as per the requirement of application. In this application we are converting into DC power using DC-DC converter by controlling input voltage, with help of controller such that, input voltage is equal to voltage at maximum power point. The work presents the study and comparison of power, voltage, current of different Solar PV panel during partial shading condition with Boost & SEPIC converters using Parametric Estimation method. Parametric Estimation method is used to extract the real time parameters and compute the Vmp and accordingly duty to the switch is given. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is used to train the block, extract maximum power point of PV panel and used for duty control of both Boost & SEPIC Converter. The simulations of PV Module based on AI technique for comparison, is performed in MATLAB Simulink environment, the simulation results of voltage, output current, output power are obtained at partial shading conditions.
