Multi-Load Pre-Regulated Inverter Configuration for All Utensil Induction Cooking Application

Induction cooking systems are more popular due to their features like high efficiency, precise temperature control, and quick heating. At Present, Multi-burner systems are gaining popularity as they offer greater cooking flexibility and cooking options. This paper presents a multi-load pre-regulated inverter configuration, which is a combination of a buck-boost converter and half-bridge inverter. This configuration can power both ferro and non-ferromagnetic materials independently using pulse frequency modulation (PFM) and asymmetric duty cycle control (ADC) respectively. It can be operated in full-bridge mode (i.e., $\pm \mathbf{V}_{D C}$) with a half-bridge inverter by deriving other $V_{D C}$ using a buck-boost converter. The proposed inverter is simulated using MATLAB simulink tool for 4.5 kW output power and observed peak efficiency is 94%.
