Design and Evaluation of Web-Based Learning Environments
With the progression of time, Web-Based Learning Environment has become a crucial aspect that cannot be overlooked in teaching. In this study, a cooking learning website called 'How to Cook Chinese Food' was designed based on WBLE. The website is suitable for users with varying cooking skills, including elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels. Moreover, the platform offers bilingual interfaces in Mandarin and English to attract learners from different countries. In order to obtain effective educational outcomes, this study builds on Dick and Carey's research to establish a novel systems approach model specifically tailored for the WBLE has been developed. Furthermore, the teaching approach and content on the website in this study have been developed by employing the Selection-Organization-Integration model proposed by Malyer. Consequently, the research findings of this study demonstrate the essential role of WBLE and technology in education.
