Feature extraction method of Ouyao celadon from Chinese eastern Jin Dynasty

Ou kiln celadon of Chinese Eastern Jin Dynasty is an important symbol of the local Ouyue culture. Research and identification of the cultural relics need efficient feature extraction relying on expert experience for a long time while modern technology such as digital image processing has been rarely used. In this article, digital image processing algorithms are studied to extract the essential features such as contours, textures and invariant moments, and a graphic users interface, GUI, has been developed for better experimental demonstration and deeper self experience of Ouyue culture.
