Based on the improved Canny operator edge detection method
To overcome the defect that the edge details are easy to be lost when the traditional Canny operator is used in edge detection, an improved Canny edge detection algorithm is presented. First put forward the application of multiscale adaptive adjustment of gaussian filter to improve the traditional gaussian smoothing filter. Then, the optimal threshold value is obtained by decomposition of the two-dimensional maximum inter-class difference method (Otsu) into two one-dimensional Otsu instead of the traditional double threshold detection algorithm, which effectively balances the contradiction between the denoising ability and the retention of edge details, and reduces the calculation amount so as to improve the detection speed. Finally, experimental analysis and comparison are carried out. It is proved that this algorithm can detect image edges more quickly and efficiently.
