A robust algorithm for complex facial detection utilizing dense feature fusion
Accurate detection of complex facial features in real-world environments remains a persistent challenge due to degraded precision. This paper proposes a dense feature fusion-based algorithm for complex facial detection. The framework introduces an efficiently dense-connected feature pyramid architecture to achieve hierarchical cross-layer feature integration, coupled with an enhanced contextual module that synergistically enables multi-scale detection of micro-facial features. This methodology effectively addresses critical difficulties in identifying occluded and sub-pixel facial representations within cluttered environments. Comprehensive evaluations on benchmark datasets (WIDER FACE and FDDB) demonstrate that our algorithm achieves superior detection accuracy in micro-face scenarios compared to state-of-the-art approaches, while maintaining significantly reduced computational overhead. These advancements provide novel insights for implementing resource-efficient facial detection systems on mobile platforms.
