wave2weave: A Procedural Weave Data Generation
We present a novel method, “wave2weave,” for designing Jacquard weaves. This method allows us to create fabrics with complex shaded patterns and a triple-layering structure. By applying procedural graphics techniques, we generate weave data from waveforms to produce various textures. As a creative application of our method, we propose an approach using noise functions and present a project that combines this technique with traditional Japanese craft, resulting in unique textile works.
