Effect of organic acids on productivity and viability of laying hens of the Lohmann Brown cross
Modern poultry farming as a branch of agriculture is rapidly developing. New methods of feeding and prevention of diseases of various etiologies are being introduced. The use of alternative methods of treatment and prevention is becoming especially relevant against the background of the refusal to use antibiotics. The article presents the results of a scientific experiment on the use of the drug «KisOrg» based on organic acids in a private subsidiary farm located in the Stupino district of the Moscow region. The feed additive was given to drink at the rate of 0,3 ml / l and 1 ml / l of water. The additive «KisOrg» contains 31,0–38,0 % formic acid, 18,0–22,0% propionic acid, 0,8–1,2 % lactic acid. The experiment was conducted on 270-day-old laying hens of the Loman Brown cross for 30 days. Based on the conducted experiment, it was established that the feed additive «KisOrg» contributes to an increase in: egg productivity – by 1,6–2,4 %, gross egg collection – by 1,6–2,3 %, egg weight – by 0,47–2,2 % and egg-laying intensity – by 1,56–2,4 %.
