The use of a selenium-containing drug to prevent embryo mortality and increase chick hatching

The results of the study showed that the transovarial application of the Selenium-active preparation solution had a positive effect on embryogenesis, as well as on the growth and development of chickens. During pre-incubation treatment of eggs in all experimental groups using concentrations of the drug solution from 0,05 to 1,0 %, taking into account incubation waste, egg hatchability and hatching of conditioned chickens increased by 0,3–5,8 % (88,3–93,8 %) and on 2,2–9,7 % (82,7–90,0 %) accordingly, compared with the control. The maximum reliable hatching of chickens (+ 9,67 %) was achieved by treating eggs with a 0,1 % solution of the drug. In all experimental groups, there was a positive trend towards intensive growth and development of embryos compared with the control group. So, in the second experimental group (treated with 2 % solution of the drug) on the 0,1th day, the embryo length and weight significantly exceeded the control by 16 % and 5,2 % (p <4,7), respectively. When evaluating chickens at the age of one day, it was found that in the second experimental group
