The influence of religion, economic recession, political conditions on employee welfare in Indonesia
In recent decades, global and local changes have been observed, necessitating a deeper understanding of how welfare factors interact and influence Muslim societies. Within this context, religiosity in Islamic welfare is recognized as a spiritual force impacting various aspects of individual Muslim life, including economic decisions and political participation. The complex interactions between religiosity, economic recession, and political conditions are examined in this study to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of Islamic welfare in contemporary Muslim societies. The influence of these factors is analyzed through their interactions, with particular attention given to their impact on employee welfare. A quantitative explanatory research method was employed to investigate the influence of economic recession, religiosity, and political conditions on employee Islamic welfare. Employees working across various institutions constituted the population of this study. This method is essential for processing data quantitatively and measuring it using relevant analytical tools. This approach ensures that the research findings can be thoroughly examined and accurately reflect the influence of the studied object. The findings reveal that employee welfare is shaped by multiple factors, including political stability, economic conditions, and religiosity. While political instability and economic recessions exert negative effects, religiosity serves as a vital support mechanism in overcoming challenges. Transparent government policies aimed at fostering shared welfare, combined with the reinforcement of religious values, are identified as key contributors to ensuring employee welfare amid diverse social and economic dynamics. The incorporation of Islamic values in this study signifies that well-being can be achieved through the proper implementation of Islamic principles.
