Innovative Practices in Integrating Generative Artificial Intelligence into Thematic News Reporting—A Case Analysis of Converged Media Products from the National Two Sessions over Three Years

Global initiatives increasingly prioritize AI adoption throughout journalistic workflows to enhance efficiency and audience engagement. This study examines innovative AIGC implementations in major thematic reporting—specifically within coverage of China’s National Two Sessions (from 2023 to 2025)—to evaluate their impact on news production paradigms. A multi-case analysis of 32 converged media products from central and provincial outlets demonstrates AIGC’s application across news gathering, production, distribution, reception, and feedback processes, reflecting the deepening synergy between technological innovation and journalistic practices.
