Comparative analysis of different pest control treatments in pearl millet
AbstractThe findings revealed that plots treated with treatment T1 (seed treatment using imidacloprid 600 FS @ 8.75 ml/kg, followed by a foliar spray of imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 0.5 ml/l at the vegetative stage and emamectin benzoate 5 SG @ 3 g/10 l at the ear head stage) demonstrated the highest effectiveness against both pests. The highest grain yield was recorded in plots treated with T1 (3,042 kg/ha), followed by T2 (3,000 kg/ha) and T3 (2,937 kg/ha). Additionally, the maximum benefit-cost ratio (3.77:1) was achieved with T1, while T3 and T2 recorded ratios of 3.58:1 and 3.43:1, respectively.
