Comparative efficacy of biopesticides against Helicoverpa armigera infesting chickpea
AbstractIn the present study, the seven treatments were evaluated viz., Neem Oil, Bacillus thuringiensis, HaNPV, Panchgavya, NSKE, V. lecanii, and B. bassiana as compared to the Control plot. The result revealed that the Bt was found most effective against the larval population of Helicoverpa armigera followed by HaNPV, B. bassiana, Neem oil, V. lecanii, and Panchgavya. All the treatments were found significantly superior to control. The highest yield was observed from the Bt-treated plot (21.56 q/ha) and the lowest yield was observed from Panchgavya treated plot (13.24 q/ha). The highest cost-benefit ratio exhibited by HaNPV (1:1.93).
