The Impact of Internationalization on Time Efficiency and New Product Success: The Role of Information Integration

The goal of research is to examine how and when information integration strengthens the direct impact of internationalization on time efficiency and new product success. This study adopted a contingency perspective to investigate the internationalization-time efficiency relationship as well as the internationalization-new product success relationship. A questionnaire, prepared using well-established scales drawn from the relevant literature, was tested. A conceptual framework was tested based on data obtained from Korean firms. The researcher used moderated hierarchical regression analysis for hypothesis testing. The study suggested that high levels of information integration enhance timely development of new products by examining the moderating effect of information integration on the relationship between internationalization and time efficiency in developing new products. In addition, it specifically examines the extent to which information integration positively moderates the impact of high levels of internationalization on new product success. The results showed that information integration is pure moderator in moderating the impact of internationalization on time efficiency in developing new products. Also information integration is quasi moderator in moderating the impact of internationalization on new product success.
