ANTIBIOTIC SENSITIVITY OF MICROORGANISMS OBTAINED FROM VARIOUS SOURCES AT BONADEA HOSPITAL IN BAKU
Connecon of the publicaon with planned research works. The tle of the PhD thesis, of which the work is a part "omparave study of biochemical and cultural properes of anbiocs-resistant bacteria isolated from various sources". Introducon.According to the European Centre for Disease Pre-venon and Control (ECDC), the impact of six healthcare-associated infecons (HCAI) (pneumonia, urinary tract infecons, surgical site infecons, Clostridium dif-cile infecons, neonatal sepsis and bloodstream infec-ons) is higher than the combined impact of inuenza, HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis [1,2].Hospital-acquired infecons reduce the eecveness of paent care and increase hospital admissions, leading to further increases in treatment costs and sig-nicant economic losses. It is important to consider that bacterial pathogens are a signicant source of health loss worldwide, with signicant dierences in their dis-tribuon across infecous syndromes [3][4][5][6].Currently, the level of hospital-acquired infecons is considered one of the indicators characterizing a healthcare facility and the quality of the medical services it provides.Contaminated inanimate surfaces and medical personnel can be involved in the transmission of hospital-acquired infecons and are oen described as a source of such outbreaks. At the same me, adsorp-on or adhesion of microorganisms to the surface of any solid substrate leads to the formaon of a biolm con-sisng of extracellular complexes, polysaccharides and proteins, which in turn contributes to the formaon of anbacterial-resistant bacterial strains and the spread of ORCID and contribuonship /
