Development of Sustainable E-book Portal
E-learning provides a sustainable way of learning and educational equity. E-books readily available, affordable, and comprehensive E-book portals have greater impact on multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as SDG-4, 5, 10, 9, 12 and 16 etc. This paper presents a successful development and implementation of an E-book portal using Hyper Text Markup Language, Cascading Style Sheets and JavaScript. A various category of books such as autobiography, novels, fantasy books, science fiction, thriller, fiction, comic etc. has been available on developed portal. The user can access the Portable Document Format of the selected book and read as per convenience. In an increasingly digital atmosphere, E-book portals can change the way individuals read, learn, and access knowledge by offering flexibility that meets developing user preferences and advancements in technology. Due to their reduced use of paper and emission from transport, E-books frequently have a less environmental effect than conventional books in terms of life cycle assessment as anyone across the globe have access to E-book.
