Efficient Channel Estimation Techniques for Wave Communication Systems using Machine Learning
This work supports several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 9 by improving telecommunications infrastructure efficiency. The use of machine learning models (KNN, SVM, ANN) for Quality of Transmission (QoT) estimation optimizes resource allocation, reduces energy consumption, and enhances network efficiency, contributing to SDG 12. It also aligns with SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) by minimizing power use in optical networks and SDG 13 (Climate Action) by reducing the carbon footprint, fostering a more energy-efficient and sustainable ICT sector.
