Influence of Thermal Aging on Dielectric Behavior of PVDF/TiO2 Nanocomposites

This work investigates the influence of thermal aging on the dielectric behavior of a nanocomposite made of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) and titanium dioxide (TiO2). The results obtained by dielectric spectroscopy at different temperatures show significantly improved dielectric performances of the PVDF/TiO2 nanocomposites as compared to neat PVDF after over three months of thermal aging. Thus, both dielectric losses and the real part of the conductivity in nanocomposite decrease with thermal aging, whereas no significant influence of thermal aging on these properties is seen for the neat PVDF.

This work investigates the influence of thermal aging on the dielectric behavior of a nanocomposite made of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) and titanium dioxide (TiO2). Thus, both dielectric losses and the real part of the conductivity in nanocomposite decrease with thermal aging, whereas no significant influence of thermal aging on these properties is seen for the neat PVDF.
