Emotionally Intelligent Machine Learning for Mental Wellness: A Comprehensive Survey
Mental health encompasses our emotional, psychological, and social well-being, affecting how we manage stress and connect with others. Stress from work, relationships, and finances can negatively impact mental health, making monitoring essential for early detection of issues. This review examines methods for detecting stress through wearable devices, facial analysis, surveys, and sleep studies. Machine Learning techniques such as decision trees, random forests, SVM, and CNN improve early detection of mental well-being, highlighting new research opportunities and suggesting enhancements for future studies.
