Guardian Poly House (Greenhouse): IoT Security and Automation using Renewable Energy Resource
The changing climate, driven by pollution and global emissions, has adversely impacted agricultural yields. Traditional farming methods are often inefficient, further challenged by the growing population’s food demands. This proposed model introduces IoT-based polyhouse farming to create controlled environments for enhanced crop production. Sensors such as DHT11, CO<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf>, light intensity, and soil moisture monitor and manage critical parameters, while motion detection and noise systems protect crops from birds and animals. The system is cost-effective, using low-cost sensors and renewable energy sources like solar panels, which reduce carbon emissions and energy costs. By conserving resources and utilizing sustainable practices, it supports long-term environmental health and climate-resilient agriculture. It also empowers small-scale farmers lacking access to traditional power supply, making advanced farming techniques more accessible. Data collected by sensors is sent to a cloud-based server for analysis, enabling automated actions and notifications. Farmers can remotely control the system, ensuring convenience and efficiency. This innovative approach ensures high yields throughout the year, regardless of climate conditions, addressing food security while promoting sustainability. The model not only revolutionizes agriculture but also aligns with global efforts to conserve resources and reduce environmental impacts.
