A Multi-Objective Environmental-Economic and Sustainable Optimal Energy Management System in Microgrid
The Energy scheduling in the power sector is a vital challenge. The growing use of renewable and dispatchable energy sources on microgrids also creates challenges for energy management. To effectively manage sustainable renewable and dispatchable energy sources and fulfill load demand of microgrid in a cost-effective manner, a suitable optimization method is required. For effective and reliable operation of microgrid, Multi- Objective-Optimal-Energy-management problem is suggested. To investigate the MO-MINLP model, GAMS with DICOPT solver is employed along with weighted sum approach. Two distinct objective functions are considered as minimization of Day-ahead total operating cost and total emission cost while satisfying the operational constraints in the microgrid. To find the effectiveness of proposed approach, a detailed comparison is presented. The implementation of DR program, the operation cost reduces to 29.64% which efficiently solves the sustainable optimal scheduling problem and has less computational burden than other algorithms. It is demonstrated by the simulation finding that the suggested method successfully addresses the energy management issue.
