Mathematical Modeling and Speed Control of Brushless DC (BLDC) Motor using PID Controllers for the Systems Sustainability
To accomplish precise speed regulation, this study focusses on mathematical modelling of a three-phase brushless direct current (DC) motor and closed-loop speed control with a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers for the systems sustainability like power electronics and control system applications. Equations from the transfer function technique were used to create a mathematical representation of the brushless DC motor. This recommended method of system stabilisation employs the standard PID controller. A BLDC motor’s gate signal is theta at an angle. To acquire optimal PID gain values, the Ziegler Nichols tuning method is applied to the PID controller and the motor. The feedback controllers are directly connected to the inverter for error detection and input to the BLDC motor. The dynamic properties of a brushless DC motor, such as torque, current, speed, and back electromotive force (emf), are studied using MAT-LAB simulation.
