Asymmetric Two Cavity QMSIW MIMO Antenna for 5G Sub 6 GHz Application
Two cavity QMSIW MIMO antenna has been developed for 5 GHz frequency. This MIMO structure is simulated using the RT Duroid (5880 Lossy) substrate, exhibit dielectric constant of 2.2 and a substrate thickness of 1.6 mm. Size of a cavity is 14×15mm and 15×15mm size of overall structure is 49.2×32.2mm. Gain of proposed geometry is 5.690dB. S11 and S22, S21 parameters are - 32.783dB and -32.14dB respectively. Isolation between both cavities is less than -10dB. Both ports of MIMO antenna are accurately matched with input impedance. Bandwidth of antenna is 0.242GHz. ECC is 0.004 which is less than 1.5 and considered under allowable limit of ECC. Diversity gain of antenna is 9.8dB.Simulation of MIMO design has been carried by CSTMW studio software.
