Coexistence of Urban Public Areas and High Voltage Overhead Lines – Electromagnetic Field and Risk Analysis

This study investigates the magnetic field generated by high voltage overhead lines (HV-OHL) located in public-access areas in lasi. The research employs three complementary methods: mathematical calculation, numerical simulation, and direct field measurements. U sing the Biot-Savart-Laplace law, the magnetic field was calculated at multiple measurement points, considering line geometry and instantaneous current values. The mathematical model enabled the creation of a spatial magnetic field distribution profile along the measurement axis. Numerical simulations were conducted using specialized software, modelling both the geometric configuration of the lines and current flow characteristics. The simulation results provided a visual and numerical representation of the magnetic field distribution, considering real environmental conditions and operating parameters. The comparison between simulated and calculated results showed a high degree of correlation, validating the mathematical approach. Field measurements were performed directly under the lines using professional equipment, recording the magnetic field intensity at multiple points along a predefined trajectory. The measured values were compared against both simulation and calculation results, enabling comprehensive validation and highlighting potential influences from adj acent electromagnetic sources, such as tram power lines or distribution networks. This comprehensive validation serves as a critical reference for future urban planning and electromagnetic safety assessments.
