Energy Efficiency Assessment of Slow and Fast Charging Pattern in Battery System

This paper provided a concept of a hybrid system that consisted of photovoltaic (PV) panels, a battery in charging station, and a car battery. The concept was implemented in a simulation environment and was analyzed for a specific location and weather conditions. Four different scenarios were taken into account: installing PV panels, using a battery in charging station, buying electricity from the grid, and charging and discharging the car battery. The simulation results showed that using the configured hybrid system achieved electricity savings compared to buying electricity from the grid. Faster charging of the car battery with the stored electricity in the battery in charging station available in charging station rather than with the electricity from the grid (bigger savings and less pollution). From the results battery effeciency predicted as 99.39% with slow charing rate. Main outcomes statement of the proposed work obtained as sfficiency Decreases with Higher Charge Rates.
