A Low Complexity Wireless Communication Channelizer with NTB Based on TDSA
In this letter, we propose a two-dimensional search algorithm (TDSA) for fast filter bank (FFB). According to the performance requirements, the optimal number of stages and transition bandwidth of the FFB are searched through TDSA, and the design parameters of the FFB structure are optimized, thereby reducing the complexity of narrow transition band (NTB) wireless communication channelizers. The hardware design and field programmable gate array (FPGA) implementation of the proposed wireless communication channelizer with NTB are presented. The experimental results show that the proposed wireless communication channelizer with NTB based on TDSA offers respectively 89.60%, 66.69% reduction in multiplier complexity than polyphase digital channelizer and generalized frequency response masking channelizer on FPGA implementation, with 416.41 ns latency and 1.024 Gbps throughput.
