Abstract

The article examines the development of industrial parks in Asian countries after the Second World War. Statistical data on the development of the economies of Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea over the past 60 years, where industrial parks play a significant role, are provided. Special emphasis is placed on the development of China’s industry over the last quarter of a century. The classification of five generations of industrial parks in the PRC is specified. The analysis of the development of Chinese special economic zones and the background of global trends was carried out. The increasing attention of Chinese scientists and the government to the development of ecological industry and green economy is noted. The leading positions of the People’s Republic of China, Taiwan in the study of this problem are recorded, examples of the commissioning of new generation eco-industrial parks are given. An integrated approach to the development of industrial parks in the People’s Republic of China is emphasized, where issues of prospects for the development of the regional economy are closely related to social issues, improvement of the environment, a comprehensive assessment of all involved resources, etc. The main approaches to state regulation of industrial parks in Asian countries are systematized, and a comparative analysis of their incentive mechanisms is conducted, including tax benefits, institutional support, and environmental standards. Statistical data on the development of industrial parks in different countries of the region are generalized, allowing key patterns and trends to be identified.
