Mechanism of distal stent graft-induced new entry and its prevention
Distal stent graft-induced new entry (dSINE) is a well-recognized complication of thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) for aortic dissection that may be fatal. dSINE can lead to the development of a new patent false lumen, cause aneurysmal enlargement and potentially result in aortic rupture. This review aims to evaluate the mechanism, risk factors and management of dSINE following TEVAR.
