Stress intensity factors in pressurised thermal shock analysis for through clad defects in a WWER type reactor pressure vessel
This study focuses on the applicability of stress intensity factor solution for the cladded WWER forging. Analytical K1 solutions are still actual and important for the fast methods of SIF evaluation., like for the on-line stress monitoring tools, methods for probabilistic analysis or for the special procedures developed for PTS scenario ranging, with further detailed analysis using EPFM and FEM. In the present study comparison with national and international codified solution is performed, it is shown that national standard is unacceptable for the fracture mechanics evaluation of PTS event.
