FORMATION OF THE INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION AS A CONDITION FOR READINESS OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS FOR PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
The article clarifies the meaning of the concept of intercultural communication as a condition for the readiness of university students for professional activities. The link between the aim of teaching a foreign language in a higher school and the rationale for the possibility of forming intercultural communication as a condition of professional readiness is considered. The concepts of teaching a foreign language at the pre-university and university stages are analyzed. It is proved that the experience of teaching a foreign language at the stage of preschool and school education has been sufficiently studied, however, it is noted that at the stage of university education, scientific and methodological commentary on the procedural side of teaching a foreign language has not been sufficiently developed. In this regard, it is emphasized that the potential of the native language is not taken into account when teaching the basics of intercultural communication, while one of the hindering factors is the insufficient level of knowledge of the Russian language and the low level of cultural literacy of students. It is assumed that the values, social and psychological identity of the culture of the country of the studied language sometimes unacceptably prevail in the learning process
