Psychological consequences of "beige parenthood"

The article examines the consequences of the psychological impact of modern digital parenting practices on the development of preschool and primary school children. The relevance of the study is due to the rapid digitalization of parental practices and the insufficient study of their impact on the emerging psyche of the child. The aim of the study is to investigate the psychological impact of "beige parenthood" on children's development. Research objectives: to assess the effects of a neutral color palette on the emotional state of children; investigate the cognitive consequences of a restricted sensory environment; analyze the effect of parents' performative behavior; determine the optimal ratio of aesthetic and sensory components in the developing environment. In the course of the work, significant psychological effects were revealed: artificial aestheticization of the upbringing environment leads to the formation of rigid cognitive structures. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of long-term consequences, including the risk of developing anxiety disorders, emotional deprivation and limitations of personal autonomy. The findings have important practical implications for psychologists, educators and parents, enabling the development of evidence-based recommendations for harmonizing digital educational practices. Research materials can be used to create preventive programs and ethical standards for parental content creativity, as well as in educational courses in child psychology and media pedagogy.
