The Mechanism and Therapeutic Progress of Heart Failure after Myocardial Infarction
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the most common cause of death and morbidity worldwide. Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is usually the first clinical manifestation of CVD, which has an extremely serious impact on the survival and quality of life of patients. With the continuous popularization of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) technology, the in-hospital mortality rate of AMI patients has significantly decreased. However, the incidence of heart failure (HF) caused by AMI has continued to rise, accompanied by a significant increase in the risk of death. This review systematically explores the pathogenesis of heart failure after myocardial infarction and the cutting-edge progress of current drug treatment.
