Huolong cupping therapy combined with external application of magnesium sulphate and nursing practice for a patient with carbuncle of the buttock caused by progesterone intramuscular injection

This paper summarizes the nursing experience of treating a patient with carbuncle of the buttock caused by intramuscular injection of progesterone through the combination of Huolong cupping and external application of magnesium sulfate. In addition to routine nursing interventions including five-element music therapy, dietary by syndrome differentiation and daily living support, Huolong cupping combined with external application of magnesium sulfate was carried out to reduce abscess, pain degree and anxiety status , and improve the sleep quality of the patient.
