A qualitative analysis on the awareness of noise pollution and occupational protection among staff members of the Central Sterile Supply Department

Objective To understand the awareness of noise pollution among the staff in the Central Sterile Supply Department, as well as the usage of protective measures, and to provide a basis for reducing the environmental noise in the Central Sterile Supply Department and improving the compliance of the staff in wearing protective measures. Methods Through face-to-face and semi-structured interviews, 10 staff members from the Central Sterile Supply Department were interviewed in depth. The interview data were analyzed using the Colaizzi 7-step procedure of phenomenological analysis. Results Extract three themes as follows: Firstly, the staff in the Central Sterile Supply Department showed low attention to noise pollution; secondly, they had a relatively low awareness of the hazards of noise; thirdly, they lacked noise protection measures and the staff's compliance with such measures was also poor. Conclusion Managers of the Central Sterile Supply Department should enhance the publicity and training on noise-related knowledge, increase the awareness and understanding of staff regarding the hazards of noise, improve the compliance of staff in wearing noise protection equipment, and reduce the harm of noise to the human body. (目的 了解消毒供应中心工作人员对噪声污染相关认知, 以及防护措施的使用情况, 为降低消毒供应中心环境噪声提供依据, 提高工作人员佩戴防护措施的依从性。方法 采用面对面、半结构式访谈法, 对消毒供应中心10名工作人员进行深度访谈, 采用Colaizzi现象学7步分析法对访谈资料进行分析。结果 提炼出3个主题, 分别为消毒供应中心工作人员对噪声污染重视度不高、对噪声危害认知较低、噪声防护措施缺乏且工作人员依从性不高。结论 消毒供应中心管理者应加强噪声相关知识宣教及培训, 提升工作人员对噪声危害的关注度和知晓率, 提高工作人员佩戴噪声防护用具使用的依从性, 降低噪声对人体的伤害。)
